If your looking for a great activity for your child this summer-Champions MMA and fitness center is the place for you. With the two locations within a 5 mile radius for you to choose from. Our recently expanded Sicklerville location is now taking enrollments for summer camp as well. We are currently offering a AMAZING summer camp special from 9:00 am to 3:00 PM for $899. In addition we can also break up the payment to help families and or parents. We also provide before and after care for all camp participants.

Summer Camp will include the following:

1. Martial Arts Lessons

2. Tutoring from Ms. Noelle Dougherty to help children with subjects-Please see front counter for more information

3. Outdoor Activities in our Private 10, 000 square foot lot

4. Fun Friday’s-Obstacle course and outdoor survivor competition

5. Sports and Conditioning training from Certified personal trainers

6. Kickboxing

7. Hip Hop classes with SENSEI JON

8. Movies, game systems, and projector screen movie theatre after lunch and rigorous training sessions

9. Camp T shirt

10.Lunch (Daily)

With a full staff of professional and certified martial arts Black Belts (8) on staff, students will have fun, learn from the best, and most importantly be in a safe and exciting environment. If you would like information or would like to secure a spot please give us a call.

Please note Summer Camp begins June 23rd and goes through August 29th. The only week there will not be camp will be the week of 4th of July.

Summer Schedule and Events

I just went to my blog and realized its been awhile since I posted.  We have been crazy busy the past few weeks. Congratulations to Sensei Preston for expanding the Sicklerville school. We will be updating our website in the next week with pictures of the the location. It looks AWESOME! We wanted to send a special thanks to all the students who gave a helping hand-Thank to Bill G, Sensei Joe, Sensei Ryan, Sensei Ashely, Steve Baughman, Ralph, Chris, Angie, Don,  Joanne, Nicole, Scott Cross, and the other fathers that helped out!

Champions-The place to be!

We just finished our monday morning motivation meeting and as the meeting was ending the staff looked at each other and just couldn’t believe everything we have going on, and all the exciting stuff we have coming up. I wanted to take a few minutes today and let you know about some of the events that are coming up and some of the new things we are implementing.

1. Jr. MMA program-This program is for any student that would like to take their training to a more advanced level in regards to self defense. Our Jr. MMA program combines jui jitsu, muay thai and conditioning that will get your child in shape. This program is great for a child who has excellent focus, plays a sport and is looking for that extra edge! See the front desk for more information.

2. Muay Thai level 1-For our adults, we have officially launched ouy Muay Thai program. We are offering 6 classes per week. If you are looking for something more that cardio kickboxing and want to train like a fighter, then this program is for you. For those of you who missed the Muay Thai launch with Master Ace Ramirez, you might have drove by on fries mill road and saw the line to get in the parking lot. There were over 70 students in his class. Please make sure to see the front counter and register as soon as posssible as spaces are limited. Parents of students recieve a  discount for the program.

3. Community Invlovment-MS Walk- On Sunday, April 27th come with us as we support the annual MS walk at Washington Lake park. Please see the front counter to make your donation!

4. Confidence through Karate Seminar at Bowe elementary-Tuesday April 29th-9:15 AM-All demo team members who would like particpiate please email Sensei Ryan at Ryan@championswayoflife.com.

5. Texas Holdem Fundraiser-If any one would like to help support our students who will be traveling with Sensei Nick to Vancouver this summer, please see the front counter to register.

Boot Camp, Kickboxing, and Children’s Martial Arts Classes now forming!

If your looking for a fast way to get in shape we have a few ways that could help you out. First we are offering an eight week boot-camp class that is every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 5:30 am. We had 15 in the class last Thursday and from the feedback I received it was a great success.

The boot-camp is a mixture of kickboxing, boxing, and fitness training that incorporates jump ropes, medicine balls, toning bands and bag work. If you would like to participate in the boot-camp please send me an email or give me a call at the school to get started as soon as possible.

As far as our kickboxing program, we are currently offering a six week course for $99 that includes boxing gloves and allows students to train every day except Sunday. For the class schedule or to set up an appointment before starting the program please give us a call at the school.

If you would like to get your child started in one of our martial arts programs, now is the perfect time. We are offering a free trial program that includes to free private lessons, and a free class. Our program director will spend 30 minutes per lesson showing the parents the benefits of training in the martial arts as well as giving your child a good workout to feel like a martial artist. We start at ages 3 and up, and there is no other activity like the martial arts for your child.

 Our Tiny Champions (3/4) and Little Champions (5,6) program is a great way to introduce your child or children to the martial arts. Both age specific programs are designed to teach your children how to learn, focus, and build confidence.

Our Future Champions (7-12) program is the best in the world. For students and parents that are committed to attending two classes per week the results are guaranteed. With the best instructors in town, our classes are second to none. Teaching life skills through martial arts is why our program is the best. Our students are scholars in school, leaders in everything they do, and strive for excellence in everything they do buy using the principles of martial arts taught by their instructors. Have your child become a Champion Of LIFE.

In closing I just wanted to share some of our success stories with you that will motivate you to either sign up yourself or your child. Our studetns who have gone the distance and become Black Belts in our school over the past eight years have participated in community evetns such as toy drives, C.H.O.P fundraisers, community clean ups, demonstrations at the Wachovia Center, Riversharks games, Globetrotters, the And 1 Mixed Basketball tour, Sumo Wrestling event at Wachovia, Wedgewood Elementary, Deptford Mall, Super Saturday, 4th of July Parade, Womens group of Washington Twp, Bunker Hill Middle School, Chesnut Ridge Middle School, Orchard Valley Middle School, Nicole Frese foundations, the Connor Patrick Quinn Fund, are just a few to mention that our students have participated in.

Make 2008 Great! Start Training next Week!

  Make 2008 Great-Start Training at Champions    I was talking to my partner a few weeks ago, and we were looking for a tag line for the new year. He said “Make 2008 Great.” “Train at Champions.” In the past two months since becoming a Champions school, things have been great. I am learning so much about the arts, business, and how to live like a champion. Most people might say, “  How different can it be?” How about “ Totally!”  We here at Champions have been working around the clock to improve every aspect of the school; the staff has never been so excited in the eight years since we have been open. We are attracting more people in the school, and more students, who are expressing an interest in becoming an instructor or a future school owner.    So the question is “How will this benefit me?” By working for the most successful person in the martial arts, we have taken everything to the next level. We are evaluated on every aspect of teaching, making sure our students are being evaluated in more detail. The quality of our students and instructors is second to none. Now, I will translate this to how this will help you. Please take out a pen and paper and write this down. Because when you write something down you remember it, and set a new goal for 2008. Okay, here we go?

1. Have your physical attributes improved in the last year?

2. How much time do you dedicate to yourself on a weekly basis?3. Has your mental attitude improved in the last year?4. Did you set heath goals for 2007?5. Have you ever made a commitment for one year when it comes to exercise and health in the past five years?6. If you continue on your current exercise plan of action will you look and feel better than last year?7. Would you commit 8 hours per month to your self if you could look and feel better every day that you wake up?8. Are you surrounded by people that are committed to improving themselves on a regular basis, and strive for excellence every day? Ok, I would say most of us probably get the point. Now here’s the plan. This is for anyone! You, your children, any family member that YOU care about.

2008 Plan on Action

 1. Right NOW. Go to the front desk and set up one free private lesson for the first week of January. Whether you want to try our NEW kickboxing program, Adult Martial Arts, Grappling, or you want to enroll a 2nd Child. Do it now!2. Be open minded and just try it. Don’t ask a friend. Do it for You!3. When you see the benefits, make a commitment. We need a year. We only want committed students. We are committed instructors to get you where you want to be. Teach your children about commitment and follow through.4. Things will get tough, you might want to quit because your busy, don’t! Call an instructor, and set up a booster class. We all need it! Just don’t give up.5. After you make to the next year. Set another goal. Some people talk about it, but most never actually do it! 

Holiday Party-This Friday

This Friday we will hosting our annual Holiday Party. This is a great time to bring friends and family to see the benefits of martial arts training. In addition all of our performance teams will be performing for the event.

Sensei Nick Boot Camp

I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about our upcoming boot camp. I actually got the idea from watching a TV show. It seems that the Mixed Martial Arts is a great workout that a lot of people would like to try. The biggest thing has been how to incorporate it in a way that people could be safe and enjoy the workout. So I have been working on a 8 week program that will do just that.

This Boot Camp is for men and women. It is for women that needs to get in better shape and wants to be pushed and motivated and get results at the same time. It’s true, it really will be at 5:30 in the morning. Why? Because the biggest challenge when it comes to exercise or personal development is TIME. No one has nay time, too busy working, too busy with kids and not enough time for themselves.

We are looking for 10 brave adults that would like to participate in this. Are you up for the challenge? Do you have what it takes? Call me so I can put you on the list!
