1. Please make approx 50 copies for the expected amount of participants.

2. On the copy please list your 5 best marketing ideas, and a brief description of what you do, and what you are looking for in our networking group.

3. Please attach a buisness card to your paper as well.

Champions Kickboxing adds more classes

Leadership Myths

I can’t take credit for what I’m about to share with you. I just finished reading the 360 degree leaders by John Maxwell, and I wanted to share with you some great material that could benefit you. While Champions is growing every day, my main job is to work with the school owners on Leadership Development.

For any leaders out there that need some great material for their weekly Monday Staff Meeting here you go:

The 7 Myths of Leading from the Middle of An Organization

1. The Position Myth-”I can’t lead, if I’m not at the top.” Educate your staff that they can be leader now. It will help the company.

2. The Destination Myth-”When I get to the top, then I’ll learn how to Lead.”

3. The Influence Myth-”If I were on the top, then people would follow me.”

4. The Inexperience Myth-”When I get to the Top, then people would follow me.”

5. The Freedom Myth-”When I get to the top, I’ll no longer be limited.”

6. The Potential Myth-I can’t reach my potential if I’m not the top leader.”

7. The All or nothing Myth: “If I can’t get to the top, then I won’t try to lead.”

One thing as a 360 degree leader is responsible for is to make sure all members of the team receiveleadership training. If you spend $5 on a staff member on leadership development is has been proved that you will get back $10.

Why the Champions Buisness Network

The Champions Business Network was created by Nick Dougherty, and is for anyone looking to grow their business or their career. Nick Dougherty started martial arts training 15 years ago in Marlton, New Jersey. after three years of working six days a week, the Marlton school was the most successful school in the organization. Next, Sensei Nick opened his own school in Echo Plaza in Washington Township. Many people said he would never make it in this terrible shopping center. By teaching awesome classes, using low cost marketing techniques, and by being the first school in the area to ever teach in the school systems, do public demonstrations, offer community events at no charge, his school became the leader when it came to martial arts.

After five years in Echo Plaza, Sensei Nick bought an acre of land and at age 29 built the current 5000 square foot Turnersville location. The Turnersville location is known for always being packed and having the best instructors in the area.

SenseiNick opened his second location approximately 3 years ago with the dynamic Preston Conyers his partner, best friend, and king of kids birthday parties! The school was recently expanded and is now the best school in Gloucester Township.

Sensei Nick recently started another business consulting martial arts schools all over the world. Some of his clients include former UFC Champion Matt Serra, and Kenny and Keith Florian. Sensei Nick is known in the martial arts as a true marketing master. He is not afraid that others are using his techniques and many schools in his own area have tried to duplicate his success.

Sensei Nick is starting this network for parents, students, friends and family members who would just like to get some new ideas on how to grow. We have all been to the rotary, chamber of commerce and other groups also help us succeed. This group will be different, and more effective. It will change the way you think, and will put you in contact with people you never though you could network with.

In this network, we will be working on strategies on how to grow your business through social networking, fund raising, community involvement, and most importantly technology. Sensei Nick will be showing all participants his secrets of networking and marketing, and the best part is it free!

Champions Business Network at Adelphia’s

How is everyone? I’msorry, it has been a while. I have been very busy working on some projects for Champions. I will fill you in on them, with this posting. I will be making a post at least once a week.

1. Fund-raising at Champions-With tough economic times Champions has been doing a few things in our school to help children who would have to stop training due to the economy. We would like to thank, all the parents who have helped us raise close to $1000 for our families.

2. Hoagie Sale-For the month of March we will be having a hoagie sale that will go towards   projects as well. Please see the front desk to place your order today. The Hoagies are $5. We will be making an Italian Hoagie’s and American Hoagie’s.

3. Black Belt Testing-We will be starting our Black Belt Testing Process on April 4th. The Black Belt Extravaganza is set for July 18th at Washington Township High School.

4. Muay Thai Kickboxing Room-We have recently added new equipments and Muay Thai Heavy bags in our blue room. Make sure to check it out. Also, we will be offering a one time discount for all members to enroll onto a regular muay thai program. We are doing a free private lesson with our instructors to show the benefits of the program.

5. April Scheulde Change-We will be updating our schedule due to the growing popularity of the KRU Kickboxing Class and our Cardio Kickboxing programs. Please make sure to check out the schedule at the front desk.

6. New Champions New Jersey Website-The new website will be launced by April 1st. Im not going to say anything…Just wait and see.

7. New Champions Gear-Check it out at the front counter. Make sure to order your bags, sparring gear, student uniforms, and anything that you need.

8. 4th Degree Black Belt Test-I have bee training and preparing my self for my 4th degree black belt test under Master Farid Dordar and his wife Sensei Ingrid Dordar, both former World Champion Kickboxers. My test will be on April 7th in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

9. Champions Schools-I have been working with Sir Sean Jiminez on opening Champions schools all over the US and Canada. We currently have schools in Oregon, Texas, Ontario, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Jersey. In addition I have been consulting with Matt Serra, former UFCChampion, and Keithand Kenny Florian. Keith is fighting BJ Penn for the UFC Title this summer. In addition Champions System, sponsors Jon Jones who also fight in the UFC and recently beat Stephan Bonner. I

10. Summer Tournament at Washington Township High School-July 18-More info to come. This will be an open tournament.

Also please look to see our new attendance card system. We will no longer be using the boxes. This will go into effect on March 30th!
